COVID-19 Event Protocols

These protocols have been chosen after closely monitoring the latest COVID-19 developments in our local area, reviewing guidelines put forth by the CDC, and coordinating with our local partners to make sure that the health and safety of everyone is our top priority.

Masking

Face masks are required for all Century Center and RMHC Michiana staff as well as vendors, contractors, and clients. Century Center guests are required to wear masks in all common areas when not actively eating or drinking and inside the venue before being seated.

Social Distancing

It is recommended that guests practice social distancing guidelines wherever possible while at the Century Center.

Cleaning

The frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all Century Center public spaces, with an emphasis on high touch point surfaces, i.e. door handles, elevators and restrooms.

Hand Sanitizers

Hand sanitizer dispensers are located at key areas such as entrances, elevators and stairs. The Century Center also has several portable Purell hand sanitizer stations which will be available in all high-trafficked areas.

Communication

Portable displays throughout the facility will share messaging on how to reinforce proper social distancing and hygiene practices. In addition, there are decals in the elevators to limit the number of persons per usage.

Food & Beverage

The Century Center is incorporating the following food and beverage service enhancements:

  • Eliminating shared use of utensils, condiments, etc.
  • Suspending self-serve buffets
  • Removing loose cutlery, only rolled banquet cutlery
  • Offering individual servings, including plated with lids, boxed meals or action stations

Staff Readiness

Century Center staff are required to complete a health screen questionnaire upon arrival at the facility, in addition to a temperature check. Any staff with a temperature over 100 degrees will not be allowed to work. Staff who are feeling ill are encouraged to stay at home. Personal hygiene is expected from the staff includes the use of hand sanitizers, copious amounts of hand washing, appropriate personal protection equipment and social distancing.

Miscellaneous

Depending on event specifics, secondary building entrances will remain closed to the public. Building staff will be posted at the primary entrance and to greet arriving guests. Based on event specifications, secondary restrooms may remain closed. Century Center supports Venue Shield, ASM Global – a worldwide initiative which provides the highest level of cleanliness and safety, thus inspiring customer confidence.

At RMHC Michiana, we place a premium focus on your health and safety and we will continue to monitor government guidelines and evolve our policies as needed. Should any changes occur, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you at McDazzle Featuring Kilts for Kids.
