Here is an actual message from one of our volunteers.

Over 10 years ago, I saw the article in South Bend Tribune that there was a need for volunteers to help with the Ronald McDonald Family Room that was being built in Memorial Hospital. The idea sounded very interesting to me, and I could certainly see why there would be a need for this service.

The first day I volunteered was the day the RMFR opened and I worked a 6-9pm shift, on a Tuesday night. I volunteered on Tuesdays for several months, then changed to Monday nights, and have volunteered on that shift until Dec. 3, 2012 and now I am doing noon-3 on Fridays every other week.

During these 10 years I have met so many super people. I like to tell people about what we do, and let them know we always need volunteers. I have to say one of my proudest moments had to be when my daughter, Shelley was named Director of Operations.
